Returns Policy

This policy is for products purchased through the Camera Shop tab within eastmon.com.au

Change of mind

If the customer has had a change of mind within seven (7) days you may return most new, unopened items and we will:

  • Exchange the goods for another item.
  • Credit the full purchase amount (a gift voucher or credit note valid for 12 months).
  • Refund the purchase price less a 10% restocking fee.(Transactions over $300 only.

Wrong item supplied

If the wrong item has been supplied through a fault of our own we will exchange, credit or refund within 7 days. If the customer is unable to make it into the store within this time period, we require some form of notification alerting us to the problem.

  • If you do not have an Eastmon store near you and you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the 'My Account' menu and click the 'Return Item(s)' button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

Warranties

All products sold by Eastmon and eastmon.com.au are sold with full Australian manufacturer's warranty unless otherwise stated. For the majority of our products, this is 12 months parts and labour within Australia.

Faulty Goods

Goods not of merchantable quality (i.e; faulty) can be returned for a full refund within 7 days. Where possible we will offer an exchange for a new item. Anything over 7 days must be returned to the manufacturer for evaluation and repaired or replaced at their discretion.

Electrical Products/Photographic Equipment that are faulty, unfit for purpose or do not comply with sample or description;

  • We recommend that you contact the Manufacturer's customer care hotline (see below) before returning your product to the nearest Eastmon store. You must provide a receipt or proof of purchase for manufacturers warranty purposes.
  • Eastmon will send the product to the manufacturer to repair the product or advise us to offer you an exchange or refund
  • If you do not have an Eastmon store near you and you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the 'Complete Orders' link under the 'My Account' menu and click the 'Return Item(s)' button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full kilo.

Delivery

You should allow 12 working days for your order to be shipped to your requested delivery address by mail or store for pick-up. We cannot accept responsibility for Australia Post delivery or other third parties. Please refer to item 8 Limitation of Liability of the Eastmon Prints N Gifts online service (reprinted here).

8. Disclaimer of Warranty and Limitation of Liability

This statement is not intended to exclude or limit any rights which you may have under the Commonwealth Trade Practices Act or equivalent State Laws.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service and all products and services provided by us are provided “as is” with no warranties whatsoever and all express, implied and statutory warranties including the warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are expressly disclaimed

Your accessing or use of the Service is at your own risk. The Service is not warranted to be error free or uninterrupted. We disclaim any warranties for the security, reliability, timeliness and performance of the Service. Neither we nor any other person involved in the creation, provision or maintenance of the Service shall be responsible for interruption of the Service, linkage to any third party sites, damage to your computer, damage to other property or loss of data resulting from your access to or use of this Service

In the event of any loss, damage or mishandling of your digital image by us, our affiliates, agents or employees even where due to negligence or other fault or if unauthorised access is gained or misuse of an image is made by any third party our liability shall be limited, at our option, to uploading to the Service, reprinting an image for you or refund of any monies paid by you to us. This is your exclusive remedy for any loss, damage or mishandling

Except as expressly provided in the immediately preceding paragraph to the fullest extent allowed by the law neither we, nor any other person involved in the creation, provision or maintenance of the Service, shall be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of your access to or use of this Service.

Returns

If your order arrived damaged, please email our customer service team at Contact Us and quote your order number (you will receive this number after a successful transaction at this site). We'll let you know whether you need to return the item to Eastmon Prints N Gifts. If you do need to make a return, simply send your order - in the original packaging, if possible - along with the Order Summary.

We will refund your account when we receive your return.
