Some of the interesting events and places to photograph are the Old Dubbo Gaol which features the original gallows and animatronic robots to tell the story. The Western Plains Zoo is a must see just 5 km’s out of town, don’t forget your camera for this one. The Military Museum is worth a visit as well as Dundullimal, a restored squatter homestead with a working saddler and blacksmith.

Markets are held every 2nd Sunday at the showground, the Orana Country Music festival at Easter offers plenty of opportunity to get snapping.
